Olu Adewunmi, Chairman
Lawyer and businessman Olumide Adewunmi is the Founder and Chairman of Sail Harbour Resort Community and the Sail Harbour Foundation. His family history strongly features an involvement in rural community development. His father Otunba Bola Adewunmi, a well respected Nigerian lawyer, was the Founder of Ago Ajo Village, Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria, and started a major rural and community effort in Ago-Ajo and surrounding area which has been the inspiration behind the Sail Harbour Resort Community and Sail Harbour Foundation.
Prior to the founding Sail Harbour Resort Community, Olu had a thriving law practice for nearly two decades until the late 1990s when he decided to move into the corporate world. He helped to found Ambico Sendirian, a major construction company which specialized in erosion control and shore protection works. He was involved in designing and protecting kilometres of sea walls in Lagos State to reduce the impact of erosion from the Atlantic Ocean.
Olu enjoys philanthropy and continues to expand his involvement in rural community development activities. He is particularly passionate about his investment in PeopleServe Micro-Finance Bank and RBA Farms at Ago Ajo village and his latest project, Sail Harbour Resort Community, a luxury sustainable resort currently being developed on an island between the Ago Ajo and Moba villages, Badagry, Nigeria. The latter inspired the founding of the Sail Harbour Foundation which aims to change the lives of the surrounding communities through the development of education, health, infrastructure and micro-financing activities.
