Fish Farm
Introducing fish farming in Ago-Ajo will improve the income and health of the community.
The fish ponds will offer tremendous benefits to struggling farming families in the rural area of Badagry who’s many challenges have been greatly compounded by every day struggle. The fish ponds will also provide water for crops and sediment that will make excellent fertilizer. The project will educate fish farmers in and around Ago-Ajo village. There are five fish ponds, stocking Clarias (Catfish), with the intention of breeding the fish from eggs to mature fish. The first batch of mature fish is expected by the end of 2010.
